محمد صادق صاحب نے ابن صفی سے اپنی ملاقات کا احوال بیان کرتے ہوئے بتایا
“سن ستتر 1977 کی بات ہے، میری عمر 17 سال رہی ہو گی۔ میں اپنے ایک دوست کے ہمراہ ناظم آباد کے بورڈ آفس ا پنی مارکس شیٹ لینے پہنچا۔ وہاں سے ہم نے طے کیا کہ قریبی واقع مارکیٹ کے کسی ہوٹل سے چائے پی جائے۔ ہم چلتے چلتے ایک فوٹو گرافر کی دکان کے سامنے سے گزرے تو کیا دیکھتے ہیں کہ دکان کے باہر جناب ابن صفی کی ایک عدد تصویر آویزاں ہے۔ ہم چونکہ ابن صفی کے فین تھے اس لیے تجسس کے ہاتھوں دکان کے اندر جا پہنچے تو معلوم ہوا کہ ابن صفی کا آفس برابر والی دکان ہی میں تو ہے۔ بس پھر کیا تھا، آو‘ دیکھا نہ تاو‘ اور ہم دکان کے اندر تھے۔ اندر ایک صاحب بیٹھے تھے جن سے ہم نے ابن صفی کا پوچھا تو ان صاحب نے شائستگی سے کہا کہ میں ہی ابن صفی ہوں۔ ہمیں یقین نہ آیا کہ وہ اپنی تصویر سے خاصے مختلف تھے (ابن صفی اس زمانے میں بیماری کی وجہ سے خاصے نحیف ہو چکے تھے)۔ بہرکیف ملاقات خوب رہی اور ہمیں اچھی طرح یاد ہے کہ ابن صفی صاحب نے ہمیں ہوٹل سے چائے منگوا کر پلائی اور اس کے بعد وہ ہمیں ناظم آباد میں “واقع اپنے گھر بھی لے کر گئے۔”

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
